who we are and what we're doing

NutrienTech LLC was founded in 2003 by Dr. David Kossor, who is the company’s Chief Executive Officer. The company maintains office and laboratory space in Ellisville, Missouri. The laboratory occupies over 1100 square feet and includes instrumentation (gel electrophoresis with scanning densitometry, HPLC with fluorescence and PDA detection, vis/uv spectrophotometry) and an fully-enclosed rodent vivarium. The laboratory is equipped to conduct a variety of in vitro and in vivo preclinical (non-GLP) studies.

 

 Biography of CEO

Dr. Kossor started his academic career at Rutgers University, where he received a Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy in 1979. He became a Registered Pharmacist in 1980, and continued in the graduate program at Rutgers until 1984, when he received a Masters degree in Toxicology. After a brief employment at the Environmental and Health Sciences laboratory at Mobil Oil Corp., Dr. Kossor returned to academia at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, where he received his doctorate in Pharmacology in 1991. After completing a 3-year postdoctoral fellowship in drug metabolism and investigative toxicology at SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Kossor sought employment as a Study Director at MPI Research in Mattawan, Michigan. Two years later, he accepted a position as Project Manager at Roche Vitamins in Nutley, New Jersey, where he stayed for 4 years prior to moving to Medarex, where he was the Director of Project Management until May of 2004. While at Medarex, Dr. Kossor founded NutrienTech as a limited liability company in New Jersey. Upon leaving Medarex in 2004, he relocated the company to its current facilities in St. Louis, Missouri.
